Dr. Mike Piero presented an academic paper, “‘No Longer a Servant, No Less than a God’: Elegiac Praise in Cult of the Lamb,” and an award winning short story, “Rituals,” (forthcoming at Soundings East Spring 2026) at the 2026 Northeast Modern Language Association Conference in Pittsburgh, PA March 5-8. He enjoyed meeting new colleagues at these sessions, reconnecting with old friends, and sharing meaningful dialogue about video games, writing, craft, and theory.
