Mike Piero’s flash fiction story, “Rituals” won University of Michigan Press’ Millions of Suns Writing Contest in 2024 in the Fiction category. The story emerged from one of the excellent writing prompts in Sharon Fagan McDermott and M. C. Benner Dixon’s recent writing book, Millions of Suns: On Writing and Life.
