Cuyahoga Community College names Mike Piero Head Coach of their new esports team, Triceratops Esports. Under Piero’s leadership, Tri-C’s esports team will begin Division III competition in the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) league. As the program lead for esports at the College, Piero has worked diligently throughout the Fall 2025 semester to build Tri-C’s esports program from scratch, including program development, technology needs, outfitting a temporary esports room, and designing and determining technology for Tri-C’s new Esports Center, which is expected to open in Summer 2026 at Tri-C’s Westshore Campus in Westlake, Ohio. Triceratops Esports is Tri-C’s first co-ed athletics team, and it’s also the first sports team housed at the Westshore Campus.
